Walk a straight line 2004
60km/ 22 hour walking performance along
the Pacific Coast Highway (#1) from UC Irvine,
Irvine CA to Track 16 Gallery, Los Angeles,
11:30pm, June 6th – 9:30pm, June 7th, 2003.

In Walk A Straight Line 2003, 60-miles - from Irvine to LA- was walked in 22 hours, a distance that is approximately one hour drive. Starting from the normative Southern Californian architecture defined by freeways and vehicles, the act of walking such a distance is at once absurd and irrational. Through consciously including his own body-in-motion, Khang takes steps toward reclaiming and reinscribing this space.
