This experimental body of work explored optical phenomenology, and to connect it to discourses beyond formal and sensory analysis. Using materials ranging from soot left behind by a welding torch, black flocking, physical holes and manipulation of light, these works explored deception of perception that enables going beyond ‘not seeing’ and seeing with the mind.
