(No) Tener pelos en la lengua 2006
Factoría de la Universidad Arcis, Santiago de Chile

No tener pelos en la lengua
is a Spanish idiom without an English equivalent. While it literally translates as "to not have hair on the tongue," the idiom implies speaking with clarity and candor; conversely, to have hair on the tongue would imply the opposite condition.

In this material-based performance, a beef tongue and human hair - materials incongruent to the space inside the human mouth - are juxtaposed as an experiment to produce sensory-based affective experiences, both for the performer and the audience.
